VAYATTAD is a place which comes within the geographical radius of about 3 kilometres. It belongs to Thiruvalla Muncipality area and is the boarder of Anjalithanam panchayath.The bridge in between is the one that seperates and is acting as the boarder point that seperates THIRUVALLA and ANJALITHANAM .
The concerned place is well known for its greenery which comprises of about long and lengthy paddy fields,ponds,and biodiversity comprising of about 3 to 4 farm houses nearby.The well known “vayattad paalam” is famous and extremely beautiful to be spend on for time pass and leisure being.This all explanations is only a part that only makes us understand only the outline of the natural scenery and fresh environment where each and every individual would love to spend a minute there
.In the summer seasons there will be competitive farming where we can see the hardwork of ordinary men and women all the day working to earn their living and to earn a satisfaction of being an ordinary worker enjoying work in the ordinary daylight in mud and clay .
The concerned place is a visitors area as it not only active only in the summer but also is a visitor’s destination throughout the year.Actually what makes this place a variety one is its infrastructural existance.There is a road in between this lengthy paddy fields where people can stand in between after parking their vehicles to enjoy the natural cold moisturasing breeze and to enjoy a natural sceener,a greenish paddy fields in length which is facing extinction.
As we hav mentioned the place is entirely different in its scenery than from its scenery projected in summer season. In summer season ,a natural scentury old farming activities are shown where as in rainy season when the water rises ,this water level arises and the paddy fields will sink. In that time a road lying between two sides of water filled paddy fields is something that everyone would like to see .
In the rainy season,there is also a chance for the road in between to get sunk.In the year,2010 the rain was severe and transportation from and to thiruvalla and anjalithanam was not possible as the water level in the vayattad road was about 3 feet high.Actually in the rainy season one who is new to the place will only identify its as a river side and will felt being in a resort rached for some sort of mental pleasure.
The boat service and that time swimming practice and training provided by the people nearby is something that is value addition to the place that keeps it different from the nearby traffic and pollution. Fisherman catching fish with their net is also something that the new generation is not even aware of.
